DBE staff designed a carbon dioxides striping system, reviewed shop drawings, and assisted with construction support duties. For the light and dark exhibit, DBE staff provided peer review of system designs by other staff members, construction cost estimates, and hydraulic and heat transfer analysis review. Additionally, peer review of ALSS processes designs was provided, DBE staff assisted with construction support services. |

The Parque Oceanografico Aquarium is one of the worlds premiere aquariums, totalling 11 million gallons of state-of-the-art aquatic environments. This was a design-build project which incorporated 20 different water treatment facilities. DBE staff was responsible for project management and leading the design of treatment processes and piping networks. Services also included hydraulic analysis, product submittal reviews, project specification writing, developing process descriptions for automated controls software and on-site assistance during construction and startup. |

Colorado Ocean Journey was a design-build project that included 11 individual water treatment facilities supporting numerous aquatic exhibits. The project was later purchased by Landry’s, renamed and converted into a high-end aquarium/restaurant. DBE staff was responsible for project management of the ALSS design team and development of water-saving filtration systems, which included pressure sand filtration, bio-media filtration, ozonation, and air flotation. DBE staff also provided client coordination and on-site construction support. |
