Main Image: ELEPHANT POOL FILTRATION SYSTEM Dickerson Park Zoo Springfield, MO |
The existing 45,000 gallon elephant pool filtration system, designed by others, was not providing adequate pressure and flow to support the elephant exhibit. DBE assisted zoo staff by testing the existing system and taking measurements and readings, which were used to conduct a complete hydraulic analysis of the system. After identifying the problems and determining appropriate course of action, DBE designed cost-effective improvements and modifications to increase the flow rate using the existing filtration system. |
